At least 38 people have died in a serious fire in a prison in Burundi, East Africa.
69 people were injured, the Interior Ministry announced on Twitter on Tuesday.
Accordingly, a short circuit led to the devastating fire.
According to media reports, the prison in the capital Gitega with more than 1,500 inmates is said to have been completely overcrowded.
