“Fan” develops young people’s skills in filmmaking

The (Fun) Foundation, which specializes in promoting and supporting media art for children and young people, announced the launch of the activities of the Fantastic Winter Camp, which will be held from December 18-22, in a new and innovative way, as it hosts a selection of actors, filmmakers and artists to share their experiences with the participants.

The camp, which bears the slogan "To the Lights", will be held in the multi-use indoor "Aljada" hall in the Emirate of Sharjah, and includes a series of competitions and motivational videos, in addition to creative workshops specialized in acting and arts, and interactive sessions with participating experts.

The camp aims to introduce students to the secrets of theatrical and cinematic art in a calm and inspiring atmosphere that contributes to motivating them to creativity and boosting their self-confidence. Theatrical Mohamed Hajji, and the actor Abdullah Saleh.

Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Art Foundation and the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth, said: “The organization of this winter camp reflects our commitment to developing creative industries in the country, by empowering the younger generations with media arts and their various skills. To help them develop their skills, support their self-confidence, and empower them with the skills that qualify them to succeed in their careers.”

She added: "Filmmaking requires joint efforts and cooperation between team members from various disciplines, and therefore the camp is an ideal space for participating students to learn about the nature of work in this field and what this creative industry needs from special abilities, as well as upgrading their skills in filmmaking."
