"Baseball elbow" is an injury that injures the elbow due to throwing the ball too much, and if it is seriously injured, it may interfere with daily life.

Yamagata University School of Medicine has been conducting medical examinations every year for elementary and junior high school students for 20 years, and last year it was canceled due to the influence of the new coronavirus, but on the 4th, it was the first time in two years at Kirayaka Stadium in Yamagata City. It was done.


Approximately 140 junior high school and high school students visited the clinic to check if there was any pain or discomfort in the joints, and then used ultrasound to check the condition of the joints.

After that, I learned how to use the body with less burden and how to stretch.


The player who was examined said, "I'm not in pain now, but I was told that my baseball elbow wasn't healed two years ago. I want to heal well and do my best next season."


Professor Shigeyuki Mura, a doctor at Yamagata Prefectural University of Health Sciences who participated in the examination, said, "The number of athletes with disabilities found is less than 20 years ago. I want them to enjoy playing baseball by finding them as soon as possible and preventing them." I was talking.


The examination will be held for 5 days and will be taken by 230 elementary school students.
