Diabolo, anciently known as Hu knocking, empty bell, empty zheng, commonly known as omzi, ringing bell, turning bell, old cow, dull gourd, wind gourd, ring gourd, Tianlei father and so on, belong to the traditional folk toys of the Han nationality.
The game of diabolo is generally called diabolo, also called trembling clock, trembling Zheng, and trembling Omzi. Jiangnan is also called diabolo.
However, it is generally referred to as "diabolo" for short.
On May 20, 2006, Diabolo was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists with the approval of the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
