Recently, in Zhaolin Park, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, there is a cast iron frame covering an area of 40 to 50 square meters and a height of about 4 meters. From time to time, citizens press legs and climb around it. The overall structure is very strong.
According to the staff of the park, this iron frame named "climbing frame" and "climbing pole" is a children's amusement facility set up when the park was established, and it has been more than 100 years ago.
The materials of this iron rack are all imported from the United States. Up to now, many iron pipes still have the English marks of the American manufacturers Youngstown Steel Company and National Steel Company.
Many old Harbin people said that this iron frame was their favorite when they visited the park in childhood, and the memories of climbing are still fresh.
Harbin Zhaolin Park was founded in 1906. The original name was "Red Cross Hospital Board Garden", "Butou Park", "Special City Park", "Central Park", "Harbin City No. 1 Park" and "Daoli Park". It was later renamed with the approval of the Heilongjiang Provincial Government. It is "Zhaolin Park".
