It climbs, it climbs… The Telethon collected 16 million euros Saturday at midday for the 35th edition of this popular and charitable event which has returned to entertainment across France, after a 2020 edition online for cause of Covid-19.

The counter of collected donations was precisely 16,036,434 euros at noon according to the organizers, with events planned in nearly 10,000 municipalities.

Last year, despite the cancellation of the events symbolizing the charity marathon due to the Covid-19, the Telethon raised more than 77 million euros, significantly less than in 2019 but more than hoped for at the 'era.

Beyond rare diseases, which affect three million people in France, the innovations born in the laboratories supported by the Telethon also inspire therapeutic solutions for very widespread diseases such as neurodegenerative diseases or cancer.
