The story relates to a mathematics exercise in Tunisia, in which it was stated that a child stole 3 chickens to bring a gift to his mother.

According to the exercise, the child Rami wanted to buy a gift for his mother, so he stole 3 chickens and 4 kilograms of cherries from the garden of his neighbor Masoud, and then sold the chickens and cherries in the market in order to save the price of the gift because he did not have enough to buy them.

However, the Director General of Programs and Continuing Training at the Ministry of Education in Tunisia Riyad Boubacar said - in a radio interview - that the book that published the mathematical issue has nothing to do with the Ministry of Education because it is subject to publication frameworks only.

"Nashrat El-Sabaa - Nashrakoum" (03/12/2021) monitored some interactions on social media platforms in Tunisia.

Bloggers criticized what was mentioned in the exercise, and stressed that its effects would be catastrophic for students, demanding that the publishing house and the author of the book be held accountable.

"Disaster! How do we teach our children to solve a financial problem with theft," Lotfi Benzarti wrote in a Facebook post.

Siham Raqiqi asked whether the book's supervisors wanted to raise young children or teach them to steal, and concluded by saying, "There is no might and no strength except with God."

In the same context, Sharni's life commented, saying that theft and burglary are taught since childhood, and she regretted what was mentioned in the exercise, and also wondered about the reason for the absence of the response of the Minister of Education and the State.

As for Hamdi Sanusi, he wrote sarcastically in a Facebook comment, "Robin Hood School for Primary Education."
