Nyingchi City launched the Gongbu New Year and Arrow Cultural Tourism series activities on December 1, welcoming visitors from all over the world and celebrating the festive season with colorful folklore activities.
At the opening ceremony held on the 1st, the unique ethnic song and dance exaggerated the festive atmosphere of the New Year.
The opening scene also arranged folklore activities such as Tibetan calligraphy and couplet writing.
In the subsequent "Gongbo Ada Cup" Arrows Competition, archers dressed in festive costumes participated in the competition.
In the event of the day, the guests also tasted the specialties of Nyingchi and felt the rich flavor of the New Year.
Linzhi, Tibet will usher in the 2022 Gongbu New Year on December 5 (the first day of October in the Tibetan calendar).
Gongbu New Year is also known as "Working cloth festival" and "Working cloth year". It is a regional New Year in Gongbu area (Bayi District, Milin County, Gongbujiangda County, Nyingchi City), and it is also the most solemn local year. The origin of the festival can be traced back to the Tubo period.
