In an explosion or deflagration in a Hamburg apartment building, a person was seriously injured on Thursday.
As the fire brigade announced, the accident occurred in a three-story residential building in the Ottensen district.
On the first pictures of the scene it could be seen that almost the entire facade of the building collapsed.
Bricks of wall and other debris covered the street in front of the house not far from the Altona train station.
Cars were also damaged as a result.
The fire brigade and police did not initially provide any further details.
The situation is still being explored, according to an initial report from the fire brigade.
The cause of the explosion is still unclear.
