[Explanation] Zhao Ideal, a 26-year-old boy from Mumbai, India, is a graduate student of Guizhou Medical University. Since he traveled across the ocean to China for undergraduate studies in 2015, he has developed a relationship with this land.

[Explanation] Zhao Ideal was born in a medical family in Mumbai. His father and two sisters are both doctors. The family also hopes that he can choose this career.

As a result of frequent contact with such a living environment since he was a child, this caused Zhao Ideal to have psychological contradictions when choosing a major.

During the vacation, after accidental contact with his father's patient, Zhao Ideal changed his mind and decided to study medicine.

When I was in India, I didn't really like studying medicine.

Later, when I came to see my dad, he would help the patient (treatment). After the patient healed, he would be very (thank you) my dad. That feeling is not (in order) to make others thank you. We can help a patient to make him have a good Life, so I just want to study medicine.

[Explanation] In 2015, with the support of his family, Zhao Ideal and his classmates from India embarked on the road to study in China.

When he first came to China, because he couldn't speak Chinese and couldn't understand Chinese characters, the road to school was full of too many unknowns for Zhao Ideal.

After entering the campus, through contact with Chinese classmates, Zhao Ideal completely dispelled his worries.

Chinese people especially like to chat with foreigners and make friends. Even when I first came, I didn't know Chinese at all. Later I made many Chinese friends. They helped me learn Chinese and I also helped them learn English.

Now I can understand if I am chatting with patients or my friends, I can understand what they are talking about and understand.

Now if I meet with them, they like to say that you are awesome, "666" means "666" in China, which means very good.

[Explanation] Although Zhao Ideal, who has studied in China for 6 years, is now able to communicate with people proficiently in Chinese, he still encountered difficulties in language communication when he was doing an internship in a local hospital in Guizhou. This is also the case. The internship experience gave Zhao ideal a new learning goal.

When I went out for an internship, I found another problem, because when I was in the hospital, many patients were elderly people. They could not speak Mandarin, but they could use the dialect, Guiyang dialect.

Later, I wanted to learn dialects, because when I wanted to be a very good doctor, I had to understand their problems, and I would be like a friend of them (doctors), because patients would be the first to be afraid of their diseases. , Second, if they see a foreigner, they will be afraid, will he understand my problem, so I want to learn dialects so that they feel like I am a Chinese.

[Explanation] In order to better integrate into the Chinese environment and understand Chinese culture, Zhao Ideal has not returned to India for 3 years.

In 2020, when the new crown pneumonia epidemic broke out, that year happened to be the time when Zhao Yiu graduated from undergraduate studies. At that time, considering the safety of his children, Zhao Yiu’s parents called him every day and made videos to urge him to return to India as soon as possible. Zhao Ideal in China, after seeing and experiencing China's epidemic prevention work in person, decided to stay to study for graduate school.

Compared with the current global epidemic environment, Zhao Ideal believes that his choice is the most correct and safest.

The epidemic is coming and it is a bit serious, so they (parents) are worried. They called me at 2 or 3 o'clock in the evening and told me to go back to India.

As you all know, the epidemic is also very serious in India now.

Later, they (parents) asked me why the epidemic was (effectively controlled) in China?

Why can you go out to play casually now?

The epidemic is very serious in India, so my dad said that it is very good that I will not go back (decision).

There are 50 people in my class (in undergraduate), 3 are Africans, and 47 are Indians. But because of the epidemic, they all went home. When we were doing our internship here, there were 5 Indians. After graduation, three Indians went home, and now there are two of them studying for postgraduates here.

[Explanation] During these years in China, through school experiments and social internships, Zhao Ideal has a deeper understanding of the medical environment in China. He also inspired to become a bridge for medical exchanges between the two countries, using exquisite medical methods to help More patients get healthy.

China's medicine (level) is a bit higher than that of India.

I have seen in China that the relationship between patients and doctors is somewhat good.

And when doing surgery, we use a lot of surgeries (instruments) in China, which are really amazing.

If I have a chance, I will let the doctors in India know what kind of (instrument) we Chinese doctors will use in China and what kind of surgery they do.

[Commentary] Talking about the future, Zhao Ideal is very excited. He is accustomed to the Chinese way of life and hopes to start a family in China.
