Covid-19 cases are exploding all over France.
In the Haut-Rhin, the incidence rate is approaching 400 per 100,000 inhabitants, or eight times more than the alert threshold, reports France 3 Grand-Est.
The Emile-Muller hospital in Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin) has already reopened Covid units to cope with the tension in the intensive care units.
The facility also treats many cases of winter viruses, such as the recent outbreak of bronchiolitis.
This also prompted the deprogramming of several non-urgent operations.
A large majority of the hospital's Covid patients are not vaccinated.
Four in five people would have received no dose, while others would have received only one or have an autoimmune disease.
