A vending machine that can pay hometown tax has been introduced at a golf course in Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

As a reward, you can receive a subsidy that can be used as it is for playing golf, so Gotemba City, which has set it up, is expecting an increase in hometown tax payments.

The vending machine was installed by Gotemba City on the 1st at a golf course in the city.

The vending machine is a touch panel type, and when using it, first select the amount to be donated as hometown tax from 13,500 yen to 67,500 yen, have the driver's license read, and enter the address etc.

After depositing with a credit card, if you show the receipt at the reception desk, you will receive a subsidy ticket equivalent to 30% of the donated amount, and you can use it as it is for playing golf.

Documents required for tax deduction will be mailed from the city at a later date.

This is the first time that this vending machine has been introduced in Shizuoka prefecture.

According to Gotemba City, more than 300,000 people visit nine golf courses in the city every year, and we are planning to introduce this vending machine to all golf courses in the future.

The hometown tax paid by the city was about 1.2 billion yen last year, so Shigeyoshi Tashiro, chief of the Gotemba City Attractiveness Transmission Division, said, "I donate on the spot because I want to support it, and the original hometown tax payment. We can achieve our goals. We want to help acquire new donors. "
