Faced with the arrival of the fifth wave of the coronavirus epidemic, the Loiret prefecture has decided to strengthen the obligation to wear a mask.
On Monday, she published a decree detailing the areas where the mask is now required, including when the health pass applies, reports France Bleu Orléans.
From this Monday and until December 29 inclusive, wearing a mask is compulsory "for anyone over 11 years old, indoors or outdoors" on markets (including Christmas), garage sales or still fairgrounds but also around train stations, bus stops and tram stations.
Reinforced measure in Orléans and Montargis
High density gatherings such as declared events or festivals are also concerned.
This is also the case in queues of more than five people and in the immediate vicinity of shopping centers, schools and places of worship at the time of ceremonies and services.
Specific arrangements have been made for the towns of Orleans and Montargis.
Wearing a mask becomes compulsory in several “high density areas” from 6 am to 11 pm.
