On November 29, the famous broadcasting artist Fang Ming died of illness at the age of 80.

  Fang Ming successively served as deputy director and director of the Central Broadcasting Department, and participated in the broadcast and rebroadcast of important party and state meetings, military parades, and major ceremonies for many times.

  Fang Ming was rated as an outstanding worker in the national radio and television system in 1985. His broadcast programs have won the Asian Broadcasting Federation Cultural Foundation Award, the first prize of the first national video contest, and the first prize of the third national TV art "Starlight Cup" Award, 1992 Central Propaganda Department "Five One Project Award", the first government first prize for broadcast host works and other various awards.
