[Explanation] On the morning of November 29th, at the upper reaches of the Jinsha River at the junction of Sichuan and Tibet, the Sichuan-Tibet section of the river, with the last truck of rocks falling into Longkou, another world-class project under construction-the Jinsha River Rawa Hydropower Station was successful Realize the river closure.

The Rawa Hydropower Station has an installed capacity of 2 million kilowatts and a total investment of 30.9 billion yuan. It is the 8th level of the 13-level hydropower development plan for the upper reaches of the Jinsha River.

[Explanation] It is understood that the maximum flow velocity of the closure of the Lawa Hydropower Station is 11.3 meters per second, and the drop is about 9.4 meters. The closure requires a total of nearly 200,000 cubic meters of rockfills. It has a natural river course with a large dropout rate, a narrow river bed, a large interception drop, and a river course. With the characteristics of large flow, high flow rate, and large dumping volume, the difficulty of closure ranks among the top in the country.

The bottom of the river is full of silt, and if the flow rate is high, the silt is easily washed away.

The valley here is very narrow, and the organization of vehicles, personnel, and equipment is very difficult.

On our side of river closure, there is a great difficulty, that is, the cofferdam. To use a metaphor for this cofferdam, it is equivalent to building a tall building on a "soft tofu".

How do we solve it now? Use the deepest gravel pile in the world to put a piece of "soft tofu" about the size of 5 football fields, with a thickness of 24 floors, and use the world's deepest gravel pile for its water. It is squeezed dry, turning "soft tofu" into "dry tofu".

This technology has no precedent in the world.

[Explanation] Jinsha River is the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, rich in fish resources.

During the construction of the power station, how to protect the fish spawning grounds so that the fish can migrate to the upper reaches of the hydropower station smoothly has become a problem that was considered at the beginning of the construction of the Rawa Power Station.

The Rawa Power Station will build a rail-mounted fish lift. The upward fish will take an "elevator", and the downward fish will pass the dam safely through the fish collection system. The 239-meter (high) dam is no longer a migratory fish. Overcoming obstacles.

The Rawa Power Station will rely on the Yebatan Power Station (Fish) Proliferation and Release Station, and will start the first multiplication and release in July 2022, and release regularly every year thereafter.

[Explanation] It is understood that after the successful closure of the Rawa Hydropower Station, it is expected that the filling of the dam will be completed by the end of July 2026, the reservoir will start to store water in November 2026, the first batch of units will be put into operation at the end of June 2027, and all units will be completed by the end of December 2027. Put into production and power generation.

After the Rawa Power Station is put into operation, it is expected to generate 8.37 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity on average over the years, which is equivalent to saving 2.45 million tons of standard (quasi) coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 5.14 million tons. Will play an important role.
