一方、結婚の日の眞子さんと小室さんの記者会見については「一方向ではなく双方向での会見という形にしてほしかった」としたうえで、眞子さんについては、「複雑性PTSD」（＝複雑性心的外傷後ストレス障害）ということもあり「やはり難しかったのかなと思う」と述べる一方で、小室さんについては「自分の口から話をして質問にも答える、そういう機会があったほうがよかったと思っております」と話されました。



眞子さんの体調に影響を与えたとされる週刊誌報道やインターネット上の書き込みについては「誹謗中傷、つまり深く人を傷つけるようなことばというのは、雑誌であれネットであれ許容できるものではありません。一定の基準を設けて、それを超えたときには反論を出すとか、そういう基準作りをしていく必要があると思います」と述べられました。
