A rare collection of Tupac Shakur photos has been offered for sale in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

These pictures, which, according to

Rolling Stone

, are unpublished, were taken during the release party of

2Pacalypse Now

, the rapper's first album released in 1992. It is a certain Lawrence 'Loupy D'Dotson, journalist and hip photographer -hop, which put them up for sale on the NFT Open Sea platform.

It is possible to bid to acquire one of the 18 black and white photos, 17 of which are originals when the last is a collage of the 17 others described as "Super NFT".

Each NFT sold will be accompanied by a print signed by the photographer while part of the profits will be used to plant trees in the rapper's hometown (Harlem, New York).

Too expensive ?

“When you look at these photos, you can see in his eyes the determination, the passion, the confidence and the light.

These photos show a side of the man that few people get to see.

This Tupac was not covered in jewels and Versace;

this Tupac was humble and eager to succeed.

He knew what he was looking for on stage that night, and that was to become the legend he is today, ”said Lawrence Dotson to promote his work.

The starting price for each snapshot was set at 25 Ethereum, which is roughly $ 100,000 at the cryptocurrency's current price, and double for the collage.

Finally, the sale, which started a week ago, will end on November 30.

It remains to be seen if Lawrence Dotson was not a little presumptuous about the price of his photos.

If the sale works, he hopes to be able to fund a traveling exhibition to show this series around the world.
