On Twitter, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran indicated on Saturday that three million vaccination appointments against Covid-19 had been made since Thursday and the announcement of the extension of the recall campaign to all of the adult population.

Three million Covid-19 vaccination appointments have been made since the announcement Thursday of the extension of the recall campaign to the entire adult population, Olivier Véran said on Twitter on Saturday.

This Saturday, the booster vaccination opens to everyone from 18 years old.

"This Saturday, the booster vaccination opens to everyone from 18 years old," said the Minister of Health.

"19 million of us are already eligible and (...) 3 million appointments have been made since Thursday," we can read on his Twitter account.

More than 6 million people have been given a booster dose

Before Thursday, the recall only concerned people over 65, people at risk of severe form and caregivers.

To date, more than 6 million people in France have received a booster dose, most often a third injection.

Friday morning, the Doctolib medical appointment booking platform had reported more than 1.2 million appointments booked since Olivier Véran spoke the day before.

A comparable influx had already been observed in July after the announcement of the implementation of the health pass.

In the week following Emmanuel Macron's summer address, Doctolib had recorded 4.3 million appointments, and the number of injections had peaked at nearly 4.8 million.
