A 26-year-old driver from Munich has been flashed 85 times since mid-October.

The police reported on Friday in a press release.

According to this, the violations were by no means slightly exceeding the speed limit: instead of being 60 as permitted, the driver was mostly traveling at more than 100 kilometers per hour.

The evidence shows that it was always the same driver.

Last Sunday, the driver finally got into a mobile speed control shortly after midnight and was stopped.

The officers were able to assign him the more than 80 previous violations.

The photos are now dearly for the driver: According to the current status, he not only collects almost 100 points in the register of fitness to drive in Flensburg, he also has to pay a fine of 14,000 euros.

He should also have lost his driver's license.

Further investigations by the Munich traffic police are still ongoing.

At the beginning of November, a new catalog of fines with drastic tightening came into force.

In the case of speeding violations of more than 41 to 50 kilometers per hour, a fine of 400 instead of 200 euros has been due in urban areas, and 320 instead of 160 euros outside of town.

In both cases there are two points in Flensburg and a one-month driving ban.

As part of the report on the traffic offender, the officials pointed out again that exceeding the speed limit is not a trivial offense: "Exceeding the maximum speed limit is one of the most common main causes of traffic accidents with dead and seriously injured road users."
