Egypt: Rams Road is now open to visitors

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Antiquities, Mostafa Waziri, said that the "Grand Processions - Rams" road is now open for tourists to visit, starting today, Friday, for the first time since the discovery of the road until today.

 Waziri indicated in statements today, Friday, to the German News Agency, that tourists can visit the road as part of their visit program to the Karnak and Luxor temples, without the need to purchase additional tickets.

The historic city of Luxor in Upper Egypt, which is rich in hundreds of tombs and dozens of temples built by the ancient Egyptians thousands of years ago, witnessed yesterday evening, Thursday, huge celebrations to celebrate the end of the project to discover and revive the Pharaonic Rams Road, and opened it for visits to tourists for the first time, in the presence of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi and his wife, a project that made Luxor the largest open museum in the world, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

Yesterday, Thursday, the Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Khaled El-Anany, said in a speech during the celebration of the opening of Al-Kabash Road, that the celebration was a message of security and safety and made tourists visit Egypt once, twice and three times.
