In our

podcast

!

, we discuss with Giselda Gargano, winner of the second edition of the “20 Minutes” prize for the novel on the theme of the “next world”.

She was rewarded for her book

The Ultimate Frontier

, chosen from 350 manuscripts by a jury chaired by Maxime Chattam.

The book arrives in bookstores this November 25 at our partner, the New Authors Editions ...

What “next world” is portrayed in this book?

We will not say everything about this novel which evokes forty years of humanitarian aid in the tone of commitment and disenchantment.

The Ultimate Frontier

is a novel about the world after the Second World War, the hope for a world of peace and justice, but which keeps falling into chaos. Alongside the staff of a humanitarian association, one day heroes, one day bastards, we set off for the war in Vietnam, Bosnia or the Republic of Congo.

How is this novel drawn from your experience of ten years within a humanitarian NGO?

What geographic and internal borders are you talking about in this novel?

Is the “next world” a tragic place?

In the state of multiple crisis triggered by the health crisis, what “next world” do we live in today?

These are the questions of this interview, to listen to free above.

"Prix 20 Minutes du roman": Maxime Chattam launches the second edition on the theme "the world after"

Culture

What if you took advantage of 2021 to get started (finally) in writing a novel?

Next theme: the conquest

Who will succeed

Noir de Lune / Bleu de Lune

 last year and

The Ultimate Frontier

 this year?

Your future manuscript, perhaps?

The third edition of the

20 Minutes

 of the novel

prize

is launched on Friday on the theme of conquest.

You have until January 31, 2022 to imagine it rather presidential, spatial, in love, a little of the three or very far from that ...
