In the Central African Republic, during the last coup attempt in January 2021, rebel groups took control of most of the territory before being pushed back to the gates of the capital by allied forces.

While the conflict has diminished in intensity, the humanitarian situation is increasingly dramatic.

The war has given way to the risk of famine, and many fear the arrival of the dry season and the resumption of conflict, the primary victims of which are still the civilian populations.

More than one in two Central Africans is food insecure, according to the UN.
