He may have repeated last week before the magistrates of the chamber of instruction that he had "never hurt Delphine", Cédric Jubillar remains in prison.

His denials on his involvement in the disappearance of his wife, which occurred on the night of December 15 to 16 in Cagnac-les-Mines, did not bear and the rejection of his request for release was confirmed on Monday.

This is the third time since his indictment for "murder on a spouse", on June 18, that the plasterer has seen his request rejected.

Each time, the courts considered that there were enough charges against him to decide on his continued detention.

And that his release risked prejudicing the investigation.

A decision which his lawyers expected more or less, even if they tried to dismantle point by point the “serious and concordant clues” brought by the prosecution.

"We have shown that this file is empty of charges, that there are clues that have been constructed, which are not clues in the legal sense of the term that can allow a guilt to be established", underlined Alexandre Martin, l one of Cédric Jubillar's defenders when he left the hearing last week.

Interviewed again on December 3

He was referring in particular to the duvet where Delphine slept and which had been found in the washing machine more than 24 hours after her disappearance.

This element, presented as central by the public prosecutor of Toulouse, was only sent in July for expertise and the analyzes are still not known.

During the hearing on November 16, the family of Delphine Jubillar, who became a civil party, asked for his continued detention "for the needs of the investigation".

“My clients want to know what happened and ensure that the search for the truth is not disturbed,” said the lawyer for one of the nurse's brothers, Laurent de Caunes.

After having questioned last October 15 about his relationship with his wife, with whom he was in the process of separation, Cédric Jubillar will be again on December 3 before the examining magistrates to discuss the day of Delphine's disappearance and the facts that are reproached to him.
