China News Service, Nanchang, November 22 (Reporter Wu Pengquan) Jiangxi Ganjiang New District officials reported late at night on the 22nd that a local staff dormitory had collapsed, causing four people to lose contact.

  At 6:45 pm on November 22, a part of the staff dormitory building of the former Baimamiao Pharmaceutical Factory, Xinqizhou Administration Office, Ganjiang New District, Jiangxi Province, collapsed.

After receiving the report, the local emergency, fire, public security, housing construction, health and other departments immediately carried out on-site rescue.

After preliminary verification, 4 people lost contact, and surrounding people have moved safely.

  It is understood that the dormitory is a 6-story brick-concrete prefabricated slab structure built in 1995.

At present, 111 officers and soldiers from 9 fire rescue stations, 15 fire trucks, 2 excavators, and 6 search and rescue dogs have been dispatched to the scene for emergency rescue.

The cause of the accident is being checked.
