In Mesnil-Saint-Denis (Yvelines), property owners are getting impatient.

60 families have bought a property in a construction project to be delivered in the third quarter of 2020, reports

Le Parisien

.

“The workers call it the ghost yard, it's rubbish,” explained one of the owners.

For a first purchase, if it had to be redone, we would not do it again ”.

This delay has many consequences.

Some of the buyers have already sold their old home, others are starting to repay their mortgage.

A father had even enrolled his children in school and had to make many trips that could have been avoided.

Accumulating delays

Today, the client Icade Promotion promises key handovers between December 8 and 17.

This is the fifth date put forward by the company.

Several explanations were given: delay at the start of the work after a company failed, the Covid-19 pandemic, difficulties in solving the problems or even in connecting to the public water, electricity and gas networks ...

Icade Promotion said it regrets "the inconvenience encountered by [its] customers".

According to the company, the ball is now in the court of the dealers, who are carrying out connection work.

The property developer also specified that the bicycle storage and a meeting room would not be completed until June 2022.
