Indian comes back to life after a night of his death!

A man in India who was declared dead after a traffic accident is still alive and breathing but in critical condition, after spending a night in a cold mortuary room in a hospital, the hospital director told AFP.

Srikesh Kumar, 45, was taken to a private clinic after being hit by a motorbike in Moradabad, east of New Delhi.

Upon arrival at the clinic, a doctor announced that Kumar was dead, and on Friday he was transferred to a public hospital for an autopsy.

The hospital's medical director, Rajendra Kumar, told AFP: "The emergency doctor examined him, and no trace of life was found and therefore he was pronounced dead."

The body was kept in a cold room until the family arrived six hours later.

The hospital director added: "When a team of the police and his family came to start the administrative procedures for the autopsy, it was found that he was still alive, and the man is still in a coma."

The director of the hospital commented that what happened was a "miracle."

The cause of the misdiagnosis is still under investigation.
