The outstanding actress grew up in an orphanage, graduated from a construction school and worked for some time by profession. But in the early 1960s, Ruslanova entered the Kharkov Theater Institute, and two years later went to Moscow, where she became a student at the Shchykin Theater School. The actress performed her first film role while still a sophomore - she starred in Kira Muratova's film "Brief Encounters". The painting "Shadows disappear at noon" brought her wide fame. During her long career, Nina Ruslanova has performed about 170 roles in film and television, and served in several theaters.
