On the afternoon of the 20th, a house in Tsu City was completely burned down, and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire as well as confirming the identity of the elderly couple who died in this house.

After 1:00 pm on the 20th, when a flame was seen from the house of Mr. Musashi Toriyao (79) in Takehara, Misugi-cho, Tsu City, a person passing by reported to the fire department.



Eight fire trucks were extinguished and the fire was extinguished about an hour and a half later, but the two-story wooden house was completely burned down and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.



According to police, Mr. Toriyao and his 78-year-old wife lived together in this house, but after the fire, they could not be contacted.



The police are investigating the cause of the fire while confirming the identity of Mr. and Mrs. Toriyao who died.



The site is an area dotted with houses about 1 km north of Ise-Takehara Station on the JR Meisho Line in the suburbs of Tsu City.
