“The death of the actor, theater teacher, People's Artist of Russia Valery Borisovich Garkalin, beloved by millions of viewers, has become sad news for Russian culture,” TASS quotes her as saying.
Lyubimova called Garkalina a noble, sensitive and infinitely talented person.
“His screen images are a reflection of an entire era, and his roles in the theater have always been considered a big event for loyal fans,” the minister added.
Earlier it became known that Valery Garkalin died at the age of 68.
