Before meeting Amal, George Clooney was convinced of two things: that he would never remarry, and that he would never have children.

But everything changed when he crossed paths with the lawyer who now shares his life.

"I knew the minute I met her that everything was going to be different," he said during a stint on Marc Maron's

.

And just as marriage had become obvious with her, the urge to have children arose one fine evening in 2014, just a year after their wedding in 2014.

“We were staying with a friend.

There was an unbearable child, and I was like, “Damn”.

We went out for a walk, and she never thought about it, really.

Then she said to me, “We are so lucky in life”.

And I answer him, “Yes, we are lucky to have found each other”.

And she adds, "I feel like this chance should be shared with others," "said George Clooney.

From that moment the actor was ready to become a father.

But fate still had a nice surprise in store for him!

Shock on ultrasound

After this fateful conversation, George Clooney sincerely wanted to have a child with Amal.

But precisely, he thought he had only one!

So what was his amazement when, in 2017, the 60-year-old actor learned he was going to be the father of twins.

“I didn't know I would have twins.

That moment when we go to the doctor, and he pulls out this piece of paper, an ultrasound, and says, “There you go,” and they explain to you, “He's a little boy,” and here I am, “A little boy. boy, great ”.

And then he says “And the other is a girl”.

I was like, “Oh, shit,” George Clooney recalled.

Amal's sister has twins, and I was flabbergasted, because I left to have one.

I love it now.

And I thank God that they each had each other during the pandemic.
