Four members of the Kunming Natural Resources Comprehensive Survey Center of China Geological Survey lost contact after entering the hinterland of Ailao Mountain from Zhenyuan County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province on November 13th.

At present, Pu'er City is increasing its search and rescue forces, launching a carpet search and rescue, and searching for the 4 people who have lost contact with all their strength.

On November 20th, official rescue forces including forest firefighting and fire rescue, as well as non-governmental professional rescue forces such as the Yunnan Mountain Rescue Team, according to the unified deployment of the headquarters, began to search from the assembly ground up the mountain.

It is understood that the missing contact area is located in the core area of the Ailao Mountain National Nature Reserve, with high mountains, dense forests, ravines, and extremely complex terrain. It belongs to no man’s land. Search and rescue people need to start from the foot of the mountain at an altitude of more than 1,700 meters. Climbing over many mountains at an altitude of more than 2,800 meters, the search and rescue work is facing numerous difficulties.

As of 13:00 on November 20th, more than 560 people have participated in the rescue, and more than 1,900 rescuers have been dispatched.
