"A general state of deep fatigue"

The Monegasque palace announced on Tuesday that Princess Charlene of Monaco would not participate in the Principality's national holiday alongside her family because of "a state of deep general fatigue", after her return from South Africa where she has undergone several surgeries.

This announcement came when the princess was expected that same day alongside her husband for a parcel delivery by the Monegasque Red Cross.

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene "agreed together that a period of calm and rest was necessary for the good recovery of Princess Charlene's health" so that the latter would recover from a "very trying (...) medical journey. in recent months, ”the statement said.

After many months in South Africa, where she underwent several surgeries due to a serious ear, nose and throat infection, the wife of Prince Albert of Monaco, 43, returned to the Principality on November 8.
