rain

The sun was shining brightly in the sky, shining brightly everywhere.

The weather is really good, suitable for an exhibition-I was stuck in the sofa in the lobby of the Shenzhen hotel and thought.

I have been preparing for the "Wang Zengqi Painting and Calligraphy Art Exhibition" in Shenzhen Station for more than half a year to "see people" as scheduled. Joy, excitement, exhaustion, and nostalgia are intertwined, giving me a sense of unreality.

Since the author, Comrade Wang Zengqi, went "irresponsibly" to "promote immortals" in 1997, two more rounds of time have passed.

The old man had a wish in his later years: to hold an art exhibition and publish a collection of paintings.

2020 is the 100th anniversary of the old man’s birth. The family members discussed that it is better to realize the old man’s dream and hold a solo exhibition for him in the art gallery, so there will be the "Wang Zengqi Painting and Calligraphy Art Exhibition" tour exhibition starting last year.

Due to the epidemic, the exhibition in Shenzhen was delayed until 2021, but fortunately, the exhibition was held smoothly and ended successfully.

Connoisseur

Question: Red lotus seeds and white lotus roots, fruit seller Ye San is my teacher.

Ashamed of the painter's seldom knowledge, he made an exception for his rouge.

The old man once wrote a little poem about "writer's painting":

  I have one good point.

The writing is quite diligent, and the world sends Xiaowen.

Sometimes there is a good time, stretch paper and draw Fangchun.

See the grass and flowers, the fish and birds seem a little real.

Seek the vulgar and bear with the vulgarity, rather than the old for the new.

Can only be from Yiyue, unbearable to hold a gift to you.

Jun Ruo likes it too, take it all with him.

The old man loves painting very much.

"Sometimes there will be good times, stretch out the paper to paint Fangchun", he paints everything from lotus to characters.

In my memory, his study will always smell of "stinky" ink.

I once made comments on this, but he criticized him angrily for "not knowing the goods".

It is said that the old man must have wine to paint.

I don't have a deep impression of this-because the old man himself seems to be pinched by koji, and the aroma of wine can be emitted from the pores during his actions.

In addition to painting, the old man also loves reading and painting theory.

In the past few years, Gaoyou planned to organize the Wang Zengqi Memorial Hall and needed a batch of objects used by the old man.

So the whole family moved out to find the relics that best "represented" the old man in the old house.

I sorted out many collections of paintings, painting theories, and a bunch of four treasures of the study from the old study.

In the painting theory, there are especially many of Yangzhou Eight Monsters, Bada Shanren and Xu Wei.

Nowadays, "easy-going" and "lying flat" are labels affixed to the old man, but how can people who like Bada Shanren and Xu Wei be so pure?

Xu Wei madly indulges and is difficult to tame, the eight lonely and arrogant.

Beneath the old man's easy-going appearance, there is wildness hidden in his bones.

In his bookcase, there are also flowers and birds from the Song Dynasty and Yufeng Takeuchi. The birds in the painting are fluffy and round and pleasing.

But the fish, birds, mice, and cats written by the old man are all hunched and hunched, like a self-portrait of himself; the rebellious and angry young man with rolled eyes and stubborn head is probably the old man who is unaccustomed to this world. "Non-violent non-cooperation" is adopted in the matter of the incident-whatever you do, if I do not cooperate, how can you help me?

Probably none of the family members took the old man's painting seriously, so he paid special attention to the friends who came to beg for painting.

The best painted work will probably always be the one he gave to others.

Although he also said that "you can only enjoy yourself and don't bear the gift to you", but he repeatedly showed "If you like it, take it with you" to the fullest.

Once I was very impressed, I saw him laying out paper, conceiving, and drafting, and painted a wonderful "sparrow meeting picture".

The sparrows in the painting are rare to make "serious" gestures, and they make a bunch of them, concentrating on "meetings".

I couldn't put it down, volunteered to hold the painting, and sent it with my family to the "Daqian Gallery" in Liulichang for mounting.

I took it back from the "meeting picture" from the gallery, and I was always thinking about it, but I went there a week later and the picture was gone!

I rummaged through the old man's study but couldn't find "Little Sparrow", and I was sad for a long time.

It took many years to learn that my "little sparrows" were given away the next day.

Now I can roughly recall the composition of that painting, but I don't know where it is.

New Year's Eve with plum blossoms

For the college entrance examination, I was admitted to the China Academy of Art, formerly known as the National Academy of Art. This was one of the alternative schools that the old man tried to apply for in Kunming.

I think I’m better than the old man in painting knowledge. I learned a bit of art theory in my freshman year. When I went home from the holiday, I saw the old man’s paintings which were not pleasing to the eye—it was completely different from the teacher’s "good painting". Roughness, uprightness, irritability, and lack of strength in your wrists!

Once very disgusted.

When selecting paintings for the "Wang Zengqi Painting and Calligraphy Art Exhibition", I suddenly realized that this is probably the so-called "elegant and clumsy" in literati painting.

"The grass and flowers can be seen by the eye, the fish and birds are a little bit real. Just ask for the vulgar and bear the old, rather the old is new." The old man said, "I always think that using pen, ink, and color to express my mind is more direct and happier. ." He seems to regret not being a painter, and thinks that "my paintings are good and impermanent."

In terms of technique alone, he is of course inferior to a professional painter, but looking at Qi Yun, there is another unique freedom that hangs in the painting, the form is scattered and the spirit is not scattered.

His calligraphy and calligraphy style is similar to his writing style, which is neither ancient nor modern, elegant and vulgar, with a little playfulness in the casual, and artistic conception in the clumsy interest.

Sorting out the old man's paintings and calligraphy works, there is another discovery.

He likes to write the sentences in his article on the title in the painting-it is simply to conceal the picture for his article!

He confessed in "Amphibious Miscellaneous": "When I was conceiving a novel, it was a bit like my father drew a picture. First, I had a feeling and an intention. Then I fixed the frame, painted the'flower head', standing branches, "Buye, Goujin" "I thought a novel must have a bit of pictorialism." Probably these paintings are what the old man had in his chest when he wrote the article.

Although I have lost the opportunity to "discuss the Tao" face-to-face with the old man, I read the article in contrast with the calligraphy and painting, but it seems that I was chatting with the old man in the air, just like when I was a child, he smiled and commented on the article and dialed the calligraphy and calligraphy. Occasionally chuckle at others' low-level mistakes.

Green Chrysanthemum

Question: Beren Biersheng said that only chrysanthemums have green in the flowers, not necessarily, but green chrysanthemums are indeed more common.

I once saw a pot of green chrysanthemum in my hometown, the flower is as big as a soup pot for noodles!

Wang Zengqi in the early winter of 1996.

When I plan the exhibition, I use the content of the old man’s literary works and life experience as the bright and dark lines, and combine his writing with painting. It can be seen as I gradually discover all aspects of him and keep recognizing him as I grow up. A "phased results report".

I vacated his "self-entertainment" achievements to show it on a small scale, hoping that more people would feel the old man's "all things are calm and content, and the four seasons are in harmony with others", and found that this man is full of warmth and cunning. The "literati calligrapher".

The old man who loves to paint is the same old man, his ink color follows his heart, and he is at ease with what happens.

  Don't be fooled by his "under-minded" self-effacement.
