Since November 17 and until April 2022, 22 cruises departing from the port of Le Havre (Seine-Maritime) have been organized by the Italian company MSC, reports France 3 Normandie.
Every Wednesday, the MSC Magnifica liner, which can accommodate up to 3,000 passengers and 1,000 crew members, will leave Le Havre to bring cruise passengers to the discovery of different cities in northern Europe such as Brussels, Amsterdam, Hamburg or London.
More French cruise lines
With these 22 one-week trips, accessible from 400 euros, the company reaffirmed its wish to increase the number of French cruise passengers.
They are currently less than 600,000 per year, against 2.2 million annual German passengers.
To support this post-pandemic recovery, 90 million euros of investments for the development of the tip of Florida have been announced.
This money should be used in particular to create new terminals by 2025 to accommodate line heads and to electrify the docks in order to prevent ships at a standstill from running their diesel engines.
