In an interview, the president of the Committee affirms: "If you are raped, it is because you are consenting", in reaction to the statements of Miss Senegal 2020, Ndèye Fatima Dione, on her aggression.
A petition was launched against the remarks deemed disrespectful.
In Rwanda, a Youtubeur journalist was convicted of a crime that no longer exists since 2019. It is Dieudonné Niyonsenga better known as Hassan Cyuma on social networks is the owner of the Ishema TV channel, a channel that has 15 million views and is known for its freedom of speech and its critical reporting of the authorities.
According to Human Rights Watch, there is growing repression in Rwanda against people using YouTube to criticize the government.
