Singer Kim Gun-mo (53), who was accused of sexual assault, was acquitted by the prosecution. It has been about two years since the YouTube Garosero Research Institute first raised allegations of sexual assault by Kim Gun-mo in December 2019.

The prosecution, who took over the case from the police on the 18th, concluded that the testimony of Kim Gun-mo's accuser was not enough to prove the facts of the crime and there was not enough evidence.

In particular, in order for a crime of rape to be established, there must be violence or intimidation to the extent of making it difficult for the victim to protest. In addition, the fact that some of Mr. A's statements were inconsistent also became the basis for the acquittal.

On the day when the acquittal of the sexual assault allegation was reported, Kim Gun-mo briefly expressed his feelings in a phone call with SBS entertainment news reporters, saying, "There are so many things I want to say."

A woman who sued Kim Gun-mo for sexual assault filed a complaint in August 2016, saying that Kim Gun-mo, who came as a guest, sexually assaulted her at an entertainment establishment. Kim Gun-mo was wearing a Batman T-shirt, so whenever a Batman T-shirt appeared on a TV show, it was painful, he said, explaining why he sued for the first time in three years.

At that time, Kim Gun-mo strongly refuted the allegations, 'I went to a pub with my manager and there was no time alone with a woman' and 'The system of a pub where employees keep coming and going, sexual assault cannot happen'.

While the statements of Kim Gun-mo and woman A are mixed,The Garosero Research Institute has provoked criticism from the beginning of the incident by making provocative reports.

Even the Garosero Research Institute sparked controversy after being accused of spreading the unconfirmed private life of pianist Jang Mo, who married Kim Gun-mo in October of that year.

Among them, reporter Kim Yong-ho, who made excessive remarks such as 'before marriage was complicated' in a lecture, was indicted without detention on charges of defamation and is still on trial.

On the 18th, Garosero Research Institute released a three-minute video titled 'Kim Gun-mo, rape is right!'

In this video, Mr. A, who sued Kim Gun-mo for sexual assault, said, "I cannot understand the results of the prosecution's investigation."

Lawyer Kang Yong-seok also announced plans to appeal.

The fight between Gunmo Kim and the Garosero Research Institute seems to begin in earnest now.

Kim Gun-mo, who was acquitted of the charges, publicly announced legal action against the Garosero Research Institute.

Attention is focused on what kind of steps Kim Gun-mo will take, who experienced the pitfalls of life right after marriage.
