Funny intervention for the firefighters of Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin), called for a chamois found in the street on Tuesday.
The animal was in a grove, reports
L'Alsace
.
He was spotted in the Bourtzwiller district.
The emergency services explained that it was a “wild animal” and that it had to be “put back in its natural element”, reports France 3 Alsace.
They therefore requested the help of a veterinarian for this intervention, in order to accompany the chamois "moved in the forest at the foot of a mountain range".
The operation ended late, once the animal was safe.
A herbivore
For the firefighters, there was no question of waiting before intervening.
“The chamois is not necessarily a nice animal.
He has horns.
He may feel in danger and still haunt someone.
It can therefore be dangerous for the population, ”said the emergency services.
A chamois had already been seen in 2020, in the middle of Schiltigheim.
“It's not its natural environment… It's not where it should normally be,” the Alsace Nature association told France 3.
