The Swedish Public Health Agency wants to introduce the use of vaccination certificates for public gatherings and public events with more than 100 people indoors.

The government is now announcing that the decision will probably take effect on the first of December.

The organization Swedish Live welcomes the news.

- We have advocated vaccine proofs for a long time, as a way to be able to carry out concerts in an infectious way.

The good thing is that you introduce vaccination certificates instead of public ceilings.

"Great departure from inclusive assignments"

Simon Norrthon, who is chairman of the theater association, is not entirely positive.

He believes that it is better than shutting down, but that the message can be difficult for smaller players to handle in such a short time.

In addition, it can be difficult for public cultural institutions to introduce vaccine passports, as they are tasked with securing everyone's access to culture.

- For organizers with public funding, it is a big departure from their inclusive mission, but for the private it is important that they can attract a large audience in safe forms.

We take the bad with the good.

What is important, however, is that there is a clear plan to abolish it as soon as it is not needed, says Simon Norrthon.
