Arrest of a gang that specialized in stealing British celebrities

British authorities have arrested a three-person gang that specializes in burglaries of celebrity homes, and thieves have managed to steal more than £26 million.

According to the British newspaper "Metro";

These thefts took place over a period of 13 days only, and date back to 2019.

The website "Previously" indicated that among the victims are the former Chelsea midfielder and manager Frank Lampard, TV presenter Christine, the late Leicester City owner Vishai Srivaddhanaprabha, and actress Tamara Ecclestone, according to "Sky News Arabia".

Yugoslav Jovanovic, Alessandro Maltese and Alessandro Donati all pleaded guilty to the charges;

While Daniel Vukovic fled to Serbia.

According to the British newspaper,

The gang was planning to carry out similar strikes on the homes of other celebrities in Europe, as well as more in Britain.

According to security sources,

The gang members moved a large part of the money they stole out of Britain;

While surveillance cameras caught them in stores spending thousands of pounds on a number of products and merchandise.

The gang members were charged with theft and money laundering, and the judiciary issued prison sentences ranging between 11 and 8 years;

One of them is still at large, awaiting extradition from Serbia.
