Gérald Darmanin announced on Monday that the Ministry of the Interior had asked Facebook to close the Dalton Instagram account, on which this collective of rappers from Lyon posts its videos of urban rodeos and provocations towards the police.

"I say to Instagram that they must close their account (…) I do not understand why the Facebook group [owner of Instagram] does not close this account", declared the Minister of the Interior on CNews.

“We've been writing to them for three days.

We will indeed start to get angry at the Interior Ministry, ”he added.

Hashish in the package

Several reports were made to the Pharos platform, responsible for the fight against illegal content on the internet, his entourage told AFP.

Several people claiming to be part of this collective have already been arrested.

A member of the Dalton was indicted Friday, November 12 for "complicity", five days after the escalation of the fence of the prison of Corbas (Rhône) by one of his associates.

A video posted on social networks showed a "Dalton" climbing the fence of the prison, then, after coming back down, throwing objects inside, probably intended for inmates.

"Nobody said it", but "there was hashish inside" the package, said Gérald Darmanin.
