Residents and visitors of Dubai had huge chances to win outstanding prizes as part of the celebrations of the Festival of Lights (Diwali), organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation.

Diwali celebrations this year witnessed 35 people winning golden rewards and prizes that made them happy and changed their lives through the “Diwali” and City of Gold raffle, and the “Shop and Win Gold” campaign.

The Dubai Gold and Jewelery Group, and the Dubai Shopping Malls Group, organized the two draws, which lasted for more than two weeks.

The Diwali and City of Gold draw, organized by the Dubai Gold and Jewelery Group, is one of the most popular and eagerly awaited by shoppers during the Diwali celebrations.

The raffle was launched on October 21, giving visitors a chance to win jewelry vouchers worth 150,000 dirhams.

By spending 500 dirhams or more at one of the participating stores, shoppers received one raffle coupon.

Fifteen winners were chosen through a raffle held on the last day of the Festival of Lights, where 15 winners were awarded with jewelry vouchers worth 10,000 dirhams.

Other tempting offers within the framework of the "Diwali" and the City of Gold offer included a 75% discount on diamond jewelry, free gifts on various purchases, and no manufacturing fees on certain products.

The "Shop and Win Gold" campaign, which ran from October 21 until the end of the festival, was organized by a group of shopping malls in Dubai, and attracted dozens of people.

Shoppers received digital raffle coupons when shopping for AED 200 at participating malls. The grand raffle took place on the last day of the Festival of Lights, corresponding to November 6, where 20 lucky people won 20 grams of 24-karat gold each.
