China News Service, Hong Kong, November 14. The Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department led the "Customs Youth Leadership Group" on the 14th to visit the Hong Kong Garrison Exhibition Center at Stonecutters Island Barracks to help them cultivate their national concepts and national identity.

  Under the leadership of the representatives of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Garrison in Hong Kong, the members visited the exhibition themed "Dream from the East" and watched the exhibits in the 3 theme exhibition halls and the equipment model exhibition area, including various graphic panels and cultural relics. Real objects, scene sculptures, guide videos and models of PLA equipment.

  The Customs expressed the hope that through this visit, the members of the "Customs Youth Leadership Group" can have a more comprehensive understanding of the country and the people's army, and also have a deeper understanding of the splendid civilization and glorious achievements of the Chinese nation.

In addition, by viewing the models of the PLA’s equipment, members of the regiment can witness up close the PLA’s advanced development in military equipment and the glorious course of maintaining Hong Kong’s long-term prosperity and stability.

  After the visit, the members all expressed their excitement and deep inspiration, which enabled them to correctly understand the national conditions and strengthen their national identity, hoping to serve the country in different positions in the future.

  A total of 31 members of the "Customs Youth Leadership Group" participated in the event. Hong Kong Customs Deputy Commissioner Chen Zida, Hong Kong Customs Assistant Commissioner (Intelligence and Investigation) Hu Weijun and relevant officials of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in Hong Kong attended the event.

  The "Customs Youth Leadership Group" is a brand new uniformed team of youths established by the Customs. It aims to assist members of the group to become unique youth leaders in society through disciplinary training, constant training and various education-oriented activities.

The customs stated that it will continue to organize different activities to achieve the young people's concept of "caring for their homeland, diversified development, and flying high".
