【Explanation】Remove the stuffed dough from the conveyor belt, fold it in half with both hands, and gently roll it. In less than two seconds, a spring roll is ready.

Recently, in the workshop of a food company in Yanshan County, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, more than 100 workers were busy on the production line.

It is understood that these spring rolls will be transported to Europe through Tianjin Port and will be on the tables of people from all over the world.

The person who made the spring rolls go abroad was a farmer named Wang Xinde, who was a condiment worker 20 years ago.

In 2000, I have been engaged in the wholesale of seasonings, delivering to relatives who make seasonings, and running around the market for him everywhere. You run like Hengshui, Langfang, Tianjin, Jinan, and deliver goods to Hengshui at a time. The doorman chatted and learned that the market demand for spring rolls was particularly high. After returning home, he bought a small leather making machine from another manufacturer and started a spring roll business with his family.

[Explanation] After 10 years, Wang Xinde's spring roll factory has grown from a family workshop to an enterprise with dozens of people.

Spring rolls are traditional Chinese delicacies. According to the literature, spring rolls began in the Jin Dynasty and evolved from the custom of eating spring dishes on the day of spring.

According to Wang Xinde, the peak sales season for spring rolls is generally in winter and spring, and the company faces production suspension every summer and autumn. In order to find a way out, he set his sights on overseas markets in 2011.

I searched the Internet and introduced to friends, and found some people in Tianjin who are engaged in the import and export of spring rolls. They have orders and we have the production capacity, so we started our cooperation. Later, we participated in the Cologne Food Fair and the Canton Fair in Germany. Established business relationships with more than a dozen countries (customers).

[Explanation] According to Wang Xinde, different from the spring rolls stuffed with red bean paste that residents in northern China are accustomed to eating, foreign diners prefer spring rolls stuffed with vegetables.

To this end, he meticulously matched and produced fillings made of cabbage, beans, shiitake mushrooms, carrots and other vegetables, and obtained the relevant qualifications for food export in 2015.

Such a box of 900g packaged spring rolls can sell for three to five US dollars in Europe. Our spring rolls are very popular there. Orders from Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, and Spain are already scheduled to the end of this year.

[Explanation] At present, the spring rolls produced by Wang Xinde are sold to 21 countries and regions, with an annual sales volume of 4 million boxes of about 3,000 tons.

While Wang Xinde made his own wealth, he also enabled more than 150 left-behind women in Yanshan to find employment at their doorsteps, and drove 13 poor households to set up files to get rid of poverty.

I used to work in a field, and I couldn’t take care of my home or my children. Now I’m here (work), I can take care of my home and my children, and I’m very close to home.

In the next step, in addition to making spring rolls, I plan to add some noodles to overseas customers' requests, and deliver delicacies such as flower rolls, steamed buns, and lotus leaf cakes to the tables of foreign people.
