On the 14th, ammunition, which appears to be a missile, was brought into the ammunition storage newly constructed on Miyakojima with the deployment of the Ground Self-Defense Force's missile unit.

In front of the port and ammunition depot on Miyakojima, a total of more than 50 citizens who opposed the introduction of missiles voiced protests.

After 7:00 am on the 14th, a Maritime Self-Defense Force transport ship arrived at Taira Port in Miyakojima City, and more than 10 SDF vehicles loaded with ammunition, which are believed to be missiles, were unloaded one after another.

Approximately 20 citizens who opposed the introduction of missiles gathered at the port and blocked vehicles from leaving the port, but police forcibly eliminated them.

The vehicle then moved to the Ground Self-Defense Force's ammunition depot in the Bora area, where ammunition was brought in as about 30 citizens protested.

According to the people concerned, what was brought in this time seems to be a surface-to-ship missile.

A man living near the ammunition depot said, "I'm worried that the ammunition depot is close to a residential area and should explode. I'm worried about what the island will be like in the future." ..

Against the backdrop of China's increasing advance into the ocean, the Ground Self-Defense Force is deploying missile units on Miyakojima and Ishigakijima to strengthen the defense of the Nansei Islands.

Of these, about 200 troops were placed on Miyakojima last year, and a new ammunition depot began to be used in April, and a small amount of ammunition had already been brought in.
