A tournament was held in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, to decide the best in Japan for the competitive game sports competition "e-sports" under the age of 19.

This tournament has been held since last year at a prefectural facility in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, and participants compete in a game called "League of Legends" in which teams of five people compete for each other's positions.

The final match on the 14th was unattended due to the measures against the new corona, but two teams that won the qualifying from 71 teams nationwide played against each other and were broadcast live on the Internet.

Participants from both teams fought an hour-long fierce battle by operating the characters of the game with the keyboard and mouse, and the participants who won the championship were happy to raise their hands.

The winner was a team made up of graduates of the correspondence high school "N High School" in Okinawa Prefecture, and a medal was handed over by Governor Yamamoto of Gunma Prefecture.

Shakespeare, the leader of the winning team, said, "I lost last year, but I was very happy to win the championship. I am glad that I was able to win the championship with the members who are deeply involved."

Gunma Prefecture will continue to hold competitions in order to improve the brand power of the region through e-sports, which is popular with young people.
