After a two-year friendship, Paris Hilton married her boyfriend, Carter Reum, in what she described as a "true mythical wedding."

Hilton, 40, was engaged to businessman Ryom, who is the same age, in February.

Hilton released details of the Los Angeles wedding on Thursday in a blog post in which she said she couldn't believe she had finally become a wife.

"Finally I kiss my prince and the lasting happiness I've been dreaming of since my early childhood years begins," she wrote.

In a tweet, she wrote the phrase "wife for life" next to pictures of the lace wedding dress designed by Oscar de la Renta.

Among the guests who attended the party at her luxurious mansion were Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie and Paula Abdul.

Celebrity website TMZ reported that singer Demi Lovato performed at the party, during which Hilton changed her outfits four times.
