An event is being held to color the rice terraces in Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture, which has been selected as one of the "100 Best Rice Terraces in Japan", with 10,000 LED lights, and a fantastic view spreads out in the mountains at night.

Oyama Senmaida in Kamogawa City has 375 rice fields lined up like stairs on the slopes of the mountains, and has been selected as one of the "100 Best Rice Terraces in Japan" because of its beautiful scenery.

Local preservation societies have been working to light up the rice terraces for tourism resources from autumn to winter for nine years, and this started on the 25th of last month.

When the sun goes down, about 10,000 LEDs lined up in the paddy fields are lit, and the colors change to orange, blue, green, and purple every 15 minutes, creating a fantastic atmosphere.

On the 13th, families and couples visited and took pictures of the terraced rice fields that emerged in the dark.

A woman in her twenties from Chiba City said, "It was very beautiful and I was obstructed by my self-restraint life, but I felt cheerful."

Daisuke Asada, the secretary general of the Oyama Senmaida Preservation Society, said, "I would be happy if you could visit the rice terraces and the surrounding area and think that Kamogawa and Chiba prefectures are good places."

The event will be held every day until January 10th next year for about 3 hours from sunset, and the annual sale of food etc. has been canceled to prevent infection.
