The State Post Bureau released data today (12th). From November 1st to 11th, the national postal and express companies handled 4.776 billion express mails, an increase of more than 20% year-on-year.

Among them, a total of 696 million shipments were processed on November 11, a steady rise and a new record high.

The peak season for express delivery this year is from early November to the eve of the Spring Festival (February 1) in 2022, a total of 92 days.

Due to the changes in the promotion mode and rhythm of e-commerce platforms this year, the peak of promotion has changed from the “single peak” (November 11) of previous years to the “Double peak” (November 1 and November 11) of this year. During the whole promotion period, the express delivery business volume had a certain degree of diversion. The business volume growth rate on the day of "Double 11" was not obvious, but the business volume growth from the 1st to the 11th still exceeded 20%.

In order to cope with the peak season, the postal express industry has expanded and upgraded its venues, vehicles, sorting equipment, information systems, etc. The carrying capacity and operating efficiency of the industry have been greatly improved, and personnel have been reserved and trained to meet the needs of the people. There is a growing need for better postal services, and we will do a good job in ensuring this year's peak season.

The State Post Bureau requires the entire system and the entire industry to coordinate epidemic prevention and control and industry development, the domestic market and the international market, and the front-end and back-end balances to achieve the "two nos" (the entire network is not paralyzed, and important nodes are not liquidated) and the "three guarantees" "(Ensure smooth flow, ensure safety, and maintain stability), continue to play the role of the core mechanism of "staggered delivery, balanced advancement", adhere to the equal emphasis on epidemic prevention and control, production and operation, guarantee quality and safe operation, and end stability. Maintain equal attention to rights and interests, make every effort to ensure the smooth operation of the peak season, and strive to create a safe peak season, a smooth peak season, and a heart-warming peak season.

In the peak season of this year's express delivery business, the traditional characteristics still exist. Under the situation of normalized epidemic prevention and control, external defense input and internal defense rebound cannot be slackened.

The State Post Bureau requires the entire industry to resolutely implement the "Proposals for the Production and Operation of Postal Express Industry during the Period of Epidemic Prevention and Control (Seventh Edition)", adhere to preventive work, strengthen unit epidemic prevention management, implement zoning and hierarchical prevention and control, strengthen personnel health protection, and do a good job Vaccination work, strict prevention of the import of overseas epidemics, and proper response to epidemic rebounds.

Practitioners in the postal and express delivery industry in many places have volunteered to serve in the community, "bringing on the epidemic" and fighting the epidemic together.

During the peak season, the task of receiving and dispatching at the end is arduous, especially when the delivery pressure is prominent.

The postal express delivery industry has continuously strengthened the information connection with e-commerce platforms, and jointly implemented the core mechanism of "staggered delivery and balanced promotion".

The State Post Bureau guides the delivery companies to connect with end-service station companies and smart express box companies to ease the pressure caused by the shortage of personnel, and emphasizes that users' consent must be obtained before dropping boxes into the station.

Enterprises are required to learn from mature joint distribution experience, reduce peak season costs and improve production efficiency through integration of resources, and support joint distribution business at the end during peak seasons.

Since November 6, rain and snow have appeared in many parts of our country, and snow has appeared in some areas, which may affect the timeliness of express shipments.

For this reason, the State Post Bureau issued a service consumption reminder for the express business peak season, and users are requested to pay attention to the relevant service reminders of express companies in the region.

During the peak period, the majority of couriers have heavy workload and delivery pressure. In addition to the cold weather, the couriers work hard outdoors. We urge users to be more tolerant and understanding of the couriers.
