The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided on a policy that doctors and patients should consult in advance if necessary patient information is insufficient for online medical treatment from the first visit, which is under consideration for permanent treatment. I did.

Online medical examinations that require medical examinations on smartphones without face-to-face contact have been approved as a special case from the first medical examination due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, and new guidelines are currently being created for permanent examination.

On the 10th, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's study group decided to consult with the patient in advance if the doctor determined that the necessary patient information such as medical history and medication status was insufficient when conducting online medical treatment at the first visit. I confirmed the policy as a condition.

Prior consultation does not diagnose or prescribe medication, and it is assumed that both the doctor and the patient agree to be able to provide online medical care.

In principle, your doctor will take care of you, but if you are not close to you, you can allow other doctors to provide online medical care.

On the other hand, if the patient's symptoms are so severe that the doctor decides that online medical care cannot be used, it has been decided to request a medical institution that can treat the patient responsibly and appropriately without leaving the patient alone.
