While there are facilities for the elderly that restrict visits to users as a countermeasure against the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is a facility to consider face-to-face visits when users and their families have been vaccinated. I decided the policy to ask for.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare initially requested that facilities for the elderly nationwide suspend visits between users and their families except in an emergency, but in October last year, the conditions for face-to-face visits were shown and restricted. Was relaxed.

However, after that, due to the spread of infection, some facilities still do not allow visits in principle or are limited to online visits.

More than 90% of the elderly have completed two vaccinations, and the number of clusters at facilities for the elderly is decreasing. If confirmed, we decided to ask the facility to consider face-to-face visits after thorough infection control measures.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided on more detailed conditions and will inform them to facilities for the elderly nationwide.
